In September 2022, we were approached by Paul Lia, a resident of Ferndown, to replace his damaged driveway and lay fresh turf and gravel in his front lawn area.
About the Project
During an accident, the property’s original driveway and subbase were damaged by oil.
To fix this, we removed the old, oil-stained materials and replaced them with new ones. The drive was 230m2 in dimension, and the materials we used included crushed limestone, stone mastic asphalt surface course, binder course, and polychannels.
In addition to his driveway, the client asked us to handle the turfing and gravel pathing in his front garden. We did this by building soakaways to drain rainwater, adding Cotswold chippings to the final service. We also laid fresh soil and turfing.
Although we had no set deadline, the client needed the work completed as soon as possible. We’re happy to say that we finished the whole project in a quick and professional manner, which the client was very happy with.
The Finished Crossing and Driveway
As you can see in the photo above, the end result is a welcoming front garden with a neat, smooth driveway. The gravel creates a homey and rustic feel, while the new turfing adds a pleasing pop of greenery.
